I made you a priority, not realizing i was an option,

You took advantage.

Damn, was I even top ten?

Was only important when you needed me

I was your escape when you wanted to feel free.

Paid attention to your words, and how they made me feel,

Ignored your lack of effort, & now my heart is ill.

See,

You know when someone is true

Your heart won't feel unanswered, neglected - all blue 😰

Effort becomes anticipated, It's put on rotation & circulated.

The feel is never fake,

In Fact, Here's my take -

The feeling is natural & recognized as actual.

Your intuition never lies, but your heart? It may try -

To convince you otherwise.

Ignoring red flags only last a short time,

Then you’ll be stuck with the emotional fine.

Chasing love blindly; won't treat you too kindly.

Don’t play victim, Cause honey🙃, You kept, & Hand picked him.

Point the finger at self, & the hand you have dealt.

Review what you allowed, Extract lessons, & Be proud -

Now you know better, avoid this error,

prevent your heart terror.

‘Impress me with effort’ should be your new affirmation,

This is YOUR world,

Your mind's creation.
